This cutting board is designed and handcrafted in Houston, Texas with Maple, Padauk, and Walnut hardwoods. The Texas star is then engraved into the flag. It is constructed using food grade FDA approved adhesive, and hand-rubbed with a combination mineral oil and beeswax. The board is then coated with more wax and buffed to a soft, smooth, shine. The finishing process seals the wood and protects the board while allowing you to enjoy the natural beauty of the wood. We do not use stains, so the color you see reflects the natural color of the wood.
Please allow for variations in the tone and the grain of the wood, which may vary between your cutting board and the one shown in the picture. In particular, note that the tone of the walnut wood may range between light brown to almost black. The wood we use for your board depends on the wood available in our local wood shop.

You may add an additional juice groove to one side of the board for $10.
You may also add custom engraving available for an additional fee, which will vary based on your design (# of letters, font, image, etc.). If you opt to engrave a board, please note that the boards are engraved on one side permitting the use of the other side for cutting and chopping. Please contact me so we can discuss and get you exactly what you want.
